The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Poland, together with the Belarusian opposition, planned to discuss scenarios for provocations aimed at disrupting the joint Russian-Belarusian exercises “West-2025“ on August 9-10.
This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing a source from the Belarusian opposition.
It is noted that the “New Belarus“ conference will be held in Warsaw on August 9-10. According to the source, representatives of the SBU, GRU and Polish special services will be invited to the closed part of the event.
“Possible scenarios for holding provocative events “under a false flag“ on the territory of the Republic of Belarus“ will be considered,“ the agency's interlocutor stated.
He noted that “the purpose of the provocation is to undermine trust between Moscow and Minsk“, as well as to create conditions for “involving the republic in a military conflict“.
