The meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin could take place as early as next Monday, August 11, two sources told Fox News.
One of the places being discussed for the leaders to meet is Rome, the American media outlet reports.
In addition to the Italian capital, other places for Trump to meet with Putin in Europe have also been discussed.
The sources of the American television also do not rule out that the negotiations could take place later than Monday, but within the next week.
Earlier on August 8, it was reported that the leaders of the US and Russia could meet in one of the Arab countries.
On On August 6, US President Donald Trump's special representative, Steve Witkoff, met with Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Donald Trump later said that Wilkoff had made "significant progress" during the talks.
Trump later indicated that he was likely to meet personally with the Russian president "very soon."
He also expressed hope that trilateral talks with the president of Ukraine could take place in the near future.
