Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said today that US military personnel will not enter the country's territory after media reports appeared that Washington may take such a step to fight drug cartels, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Earlier today, the “New York Times“ reported that US President Donald Trump has signed an order for the Pentagon to begin using military force against some Latin American drug cartels.
Sheinbaum said that her government had been informed of the upcoming order, but according to her, it had nothing to do with US military operations on Mexican territory.
