Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may participate in the meeting scheduled for August 15 in Alaska between the presidents of the United States and Russia, Donald Trump, and Vladimir Putin.

This was reported by CBS News, quoted by BNR, citing a senior White House source.

However, CBS did not specify in what form President Zelensky could participate in the meeting. According to the news channel, a senior White House official said that the planning for the Trump-Putin summit is not yet finalized and it is still possible that Zelensky will be involved in some way.

So far, no official from Kiev has commented on this information.

Earlier, Trump said that he intends to discuss the conflict with Ukraine with Putin and that he expects some kind of exchange of territories.

Meanwhile, Zelensky made it clear that he is not ready for territorial concessions to Russia.

"Ukraine is ready for real solutions that can bring peace. Any solution that is against us, any solution that is without Ukraine, is at the same time a solution against peace. They will achieve nothing. These are dead solutions that will never work. And we all need a real living peace that people will respect".

On Thursday, Putin said that in principle he had nothing against meeting Zelensky in person, but that certain conditions were needed. However, we are still far from creating such conditions, the Russian added.
