The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out a night drone attack on the Arzamas Instrument-Making Plant in the Nizhny Novgorod region, a source told the BBC Ukrainian Service. According to the source, four drones hit the facility, which the SBU says produces gyroscopic instruments, control systems, on-board computers and components for the Kh-32 and Kh-101 missiles.
"Enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex working for the war against Ukraine are completely legitimate military targets. The SBU continues work on the demilitarization of facilities that produce weapons of terror over peaceful Ukrainian cities," the source said.
The plant's official website states that it develops and manufactures control systems and on-board electronic computers, as well as gyroscopic instruments.
Earlier today, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that two drones had been destroyed over the Nizhny Novgorod region, and Governor Gleb Nikitin said that Ukrainian drones had attacked two industrial zones. According to him, an employee of an industrial enterprise was killed in the attack, and two others were taken to hospital.
