Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu believes that by striking Iran's nuclear sites in June, he managed to significantly slow down the development of Tehran's nuclear program and the creation of a nuclear weapon.
"As for Iran, we caused it very significant damage, setting it back years", he said at a press conference, quoted by AFP.
According to him, "they were only a few months away from creating a nuclear weapon - nuclear capabilities or nuclear bombs, all of that was postponed".
However, the prime minister, comparing Iran's nuclear program to metastases in the removal of a cancerous tumor, stated that "they will try to recover".
"This obliges us to be fully vigilant. We are ready for any scenario. The Iranians are also preparing for different scenarios, which I will not describe in detail here," Netanyahu stressed.
