Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received a report from intelligence and military commanders about Russia's plans. He said this in his evening video address, Ukrinform reports, quoted by BTA.
„Today there was also a report from intelligence and the military command about what Putin is counting on and what he is actually preparing for, including (the military preparations he is making). He is definitely not preparing for a ceasefire or an end to the war. Putin is determined only to present the meeting with the US as his personal victory and then continue to act exactly as before, putting the same pressure on Ukraine,“ Zelensky said.
According to him, so far there are no indications that the Russians have received signals to prepare for a post-war situation.
“On the contrary, they are moving their troops in a way that suggests preparation for new offensive operations. If someone is preparing for peace, they are not doing this,“ Zelensky said.
The president also received a report from the Ukrainian delegation after a meeting in the United Kingdom. The head of the Ukrainian presidential administration Andriy Yermak and the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov reported on all important diplomatic contacts, both public and behind closed doors.
