Pereira and Quiroga to face runoff in Bolivian presidential election

Businessman Samuel Doria Medina concedes defeat

Senator Rodrigo Paz Pereira and former Bolivian president (2001-2002) Jorge Quiroga are going to the second round of the country's presidential election.

This is clear from the vote count data announced by the Supreme Electoral Court.

“The Christian Democratic Party won 32.08%, the Freedom and Democracy Party - 26.94%, the Unity Party - 19.93%“, a representative of the electoral authority said at a press conference after preliminary processing of more than 90% of the protocols.

Entrepreneur Samuel Doria Medina, who was nominated by Unity, admitted defeat.
