Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia had carried out "cynical strikes" on the territory of Ukraine, including against a crude oil facility owned by Azerbaijan, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Earlier today, Zelensky arrived in Washington for his meeting with US President Donald Trump, with whom they will discuss the course of the war in Ukraine.
"This was a demonstrative and cynical strike by Russian forces. "They are aware that a meeting is being held in Washington today to discuss the end of the war," Zelensky wrote on the "Ex" platform.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin will carry out demonstrative killings to maintain pressure on Ukraine and Europe, as well as to humiliate diplomatic efforts. That is why we are seeking help to end the killings," the Ukrainian president added.
