A Bulgarian citizen was detained by the Greek police for leaving her dog locked in a car without ensuring the windows were open or the air conditioning was on, reports the Greek publication “Proto tema“, quoted by BTA.
The incident occurred at noon yesterday in the coastal village of Nea Vrasna in northern Greece. The police found that the 60-year-old woman left a dog in her care in her car for 15 minutes, in violation of the regulations on health and animal welfare.
The Bulgarian woman was imposed an administrative fine of 1,000 euros as provided by law and a case has been opened against her.
