The temporary interruption of Russian oil to Hungary and Slovakia via the Druzhba oil pipeline does not affect the security of supplies to Germany, the German economy ministry said today, quoted by Reuters, BTA reported.

The Ukrainian armed forces last night struck the Unecha pumping station in Russia's Bryansk region.

The Druzhba pipeline passes through the Bryansk region and is divided into a northern part (towards Poland and Germany) and a southern part (towards Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic). Russian oil supplies to Poland were suspended in February 2023, and to Germany - since the beginning of 2023, but the southern part continues to supply Hungary and Slovakia.

Currently, Kazakh oil flows through the northern part of the "Druzhba" to the refinery in "Shvet", which provides most of the fuel for Berlin.

The commander of the Ukrainian forces for unmanned systems, Robert Brody, announced last night that Ukraine had struck "Unecha", a critical part of the "Druzhba" oil pipeline.

Oil supplies to Hungary via the facility have been suspended due to the attack, the social network "Facebook" said. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.

Oil supplies to Slovakia via the "Družba" were also interrupted last night, Slovak operator "Transpetrol" said.

Earlier this week, Hungary and Slovakia announced that they had stopped receiving Russian crude via the "Družba" after a Ukrainian drone strike on a pumping station in Russia's Tambov region, but supplies were resumed two days later.
