The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has warned Minsk to refrain from any provocations during the Russian-Belarusian military exercises "Zapad" next month and called on European partners to be vigilant, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"The buildup of Russian troops on Ukraine's borders in 2021-2022 took place under the guise of the "Zapad 2021" exercises between Russia and Belarus. "We warn Minsk to refrain from reckless provocations and advise it to exercise prudence and not to approach our borders and not to provoke the Defense Forces of Ukraine," the Ministry said in a publication in "Ex".
The diplomatic department added that cooperation between Russia and Belarus is a threat to Europe.
