A shooting occurred at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, today, world agencies reported. According to local media, there were several victims, BTA reported.
"I have been notified of a shooting at a Catholic school and I will continue to update you as I receive more information", said Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Police were dispatched to the scene of the incident.
"I pray for our children and teachers whose first week at school has been marred by this horrific act of violence", added the state governor.
Authorities announced that the shooter was "neutralized". US President Donald Trump said he was fully briefed on the tragic shooting incident in Minneapolis and indicated that the White House would continue to monitor the situation.
