Israeli forces are operating "around the clock" wherever necessary to protect the country's security, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said today in an ambiguous post on social media following reports of an Israeli ground operation near Damascus, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA.
"Our forces are operating in all directions around the clock to protect Israel's security", Katz wrote on his "Ex" profile, without giving further details.
According to Syrian media, Israeli ground forces carried out an operation last night against a site near the Syrian capital Damascus, which they had previously bombed.
So far, the Israeli army has not responded to AFP's requests for comment on the subject.
