The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it has sunk the Ukrainian reconnaissance ship "Simferopol" with the help of an unmanned boat in the Danube Delta, DPA reported, BTA reported.
The information has not been confirmed by independent sources at the moment. If it turns out to be true, this would be the first use of an unmanned boat by Russia.
Despite the massive Russian air strikes in Ukraine last night, there were no reports of explosions or fires in the Odessa region, near the Danube Delta.
According to publicly available information, "Simferopol" is a medium-sized reconnaissance ship that is still in the testing phase.
