Albania continues to fight forest fires, reports the Albanian Radio and Television. A total of 26 fires have been registered in the last 24 hours, of which 4 remain active, and one is under observation, BTA reported.

The first active fire is in the village of Fage near Tirana (Central Albania), where firefighters, local authorities and volunteers are working to extinguish it. The second fire is burning in the village of Miras, Devol municipality (Southeastern Albania). Nearly 100 people are engaged in extinguishing the flames there.

The third fire is in the Boye neighborhood of the northwestern Albanian city of Kruja, where two outbreaks have affected a pine forest in a protected area. The fourth fire is burning in the village of Peza-Helmus near Tirana, where several outbreaks have already been isolated.

The forest fire near the village of Delisuf, Vlora municipality (southwestern Albania) remains under observation. The situation there is calm and there is no smoke.
