The Ukrainian army said today that it had struck Russian oil refineries in Krasnodar and Syzran overnight, Ukrinform reported, quoted by BTA.
The agency notes that the General Staff of the Ukrainian army spread this information on Facebook.
The army has recorded multiple explosions and a fire at the Krasnodar oil refinery, which it says produces 3 million tons of light petroleum products annually.
There was also a fire in the area of the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region, which before August had a processing capacity of 8.5 million tons per year, the Ukrainian military said.
The Ukrainian army is attacking such sites as part of efforts to reduce Russia's offensive capabilities and cut off fuel supplies to its military units, Ukrinform reports.
