US President Donald Trump said he would sign an executive order mandating the use of ID cards by voters.
He even said that ID cards "should be part of every single vote" without exception.
"Also, no voting by mail, except for those who are very sick and military who are far away.
ONLY USE PAPER BALLOTS!!", the president wrote on Truth Social.
"Enjoy Labor Day weekend. "It's going to be a big year for the US, maybe the best year ever if the tariffs are finally approved by the courts!!!," Trump wrote in a follow-up post.
His administration had previously said it would appeal to the Supreme Court the appeals court's decision that declared most of the president's tariffs illegal.
