US President Donald Trump said today that he was "very disappointed" with Russian leader Vladimir Putin and added, without giving details, that his administration plans to take some action to reduce the number of victims in Ukraine, Reuters reported, BTA reported.

"I'm very disappointed with President Putin, I can say that, and we're going to do something to help people live", Trump said in an interview with the popular "Scott Jennings Show".

The American president also said that he was "generally not worried" about the axis that is forming against the United States and includes China and Russia. Trump made the comment after Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted a number of world leaders, including his Russian counterpart, for a summit in the Chinese city of Tianjin on Tuesday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that Russia had begun a new buildup of troops in some areas of the front line and was still carrying out strikes on targets in Ukraine, Reuters reported.

"Now we are seeing a new buildup of Russian forces in some areas of the front. He refuses to be forced to make peace," Zelensky said in an evening video address, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Ukrainian leader did not give further details, but said that "Russia continues to carry out strikes". "Of course, we will respond to this," Zelensky added.
