Macron meets Zelensky in Paris

The Coalition of the Willing is meeting on Thursday

French President Emmanuel Macron will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Paris on Wednesday evening, September 3, before the meeting of the "Coalition of the Willing", which will be held on September 4, FOCUS reported.

An Elysee Palace official, who requested anonymity, reported this to a correspondent of European Truth.

"President Macron will meet with President Zelensky tomorrow evening in Paris, before meeting with all our partners", the informant stated.

He recalled that the meeting of the "Coalition of the Willing" on September 4 in Paris is being held at the initiative of Ukraine.

According to the French official, the purpose of the meeting is "to convey the message that we, the countries that are ready and able to provide security guarantees to Ukraine, have completed the technical work carried out by the Chiefs of General Staffs and Ministers of Defense".

"Today we are ready to provide these security guarantees", he emphasizes.

The interlocutor of "European Truth" also specified that support or increased pressure on Russia is needed with the ultimate goal of "achieving a ceasefire".

We recall that ''Focus' reported earlier that a meeting of the "Coalition of the Willing" will be held on September 4 in a hybrid format under the chairmanship of French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Unofficial sources indicate that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will join the meeting.

In turn, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda called on the Coalition to begin planning concrete work on the possible dispatch of peacekeeping contingents to Ukraine.
