Strong earthquake recorded off the coast of Kamchatka

A magnitude 6 earthquake was recorded today off the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Far East of Russia, TASS reported, citing the local branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, BTA reported.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, with an epicenter 233 kilometers from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

There are no reports of casualties or material damage so far.
