French President Emmanuel Macron said today that security guarantees for Ukraine have been prepared and will be officially adopted tomorrow by the Coalition of the Willing - a group of countries that support Kiev in the conflict with Russia, Reuters reported, BTA reports.
“We are ready as Europeans to offer security guarantees for Ukraine and for the Ukrainian people on the day a peace agreement is signed“, Macron stressed. He added that “the preparatory work is complete“.
The French president will receive his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky at the Elysee Palace in Paris on the eve of the meeting of leaders of the Coalition of the Willing. The forum will discuss future support for Ukraine in the context of the ongoing war.
