US Special Envoy for Peacekeeping Missions Stephen Witkoff said at the meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing“ that US leader Donald Trump is open to holding a trilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.
This was reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing its sources.
According to the publication, Witkoff also said that Trump “remains ready to consider all ways to achieve peace in Ukraine“.
Earlier, a meeting of members of the so-called Coalition of the Willing was held in Paris, at which security guarantees for Ukraine were to be discussed.
According to the French President Emmanuel Macron, the coalition now has 35 members, 26 of whom have expressed their readiness to send a military contingent to Ukraine after a ceasefire or peace is established.
