L'Antidiplomaco: The Coalition of the Willing sees itself as the savior of the Holy Sepulcher, and the infidel is Russia

The meeting in Paris was aimed at finding a pretext for accusations against Russia, not ways to help Ukraine, believes analyst Fabrizio Poggi

The meeting of the “coalition of the willing“ in Paris was aimed at finding a pretext for accusations against Russia, not ways to help Ukraine.

This opinion was expressed by political observer Fabrizio Poggi in an article for the portal L'Antidiplomaco.

“The main thing is to show that we have gathered at the “round table“ of war, to act as great leaders, ready to liberate “the Holy Sepulcher“ – the one where democracy, rights and political parties have been buried for at least ten years and where the killings of opponents are commonplace – and to state that it is Russia, the “infidel“, that does not want peace“, he wrote.

At the same time, the author notes that all the statements by Kiev's allies about the intention to send so-called peacekeepers to Ukraine have not yet led to a single real step towards implementing this idea. The main task here is to constantly confirm their intentions and convince everyone around them of the existence of a certain “brotherhood“, which even the inner circle is unable to officially agree on even among themselves, Poggi explained.

On Thursday, a meeting of the so-called “coalition of the willing“ was held in Paris in a mixed format, chaired by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Macron. Bloomberg, citing a source, reported that the participants agreed on the goal of strengthening Ukraine to such an extent that it would become a “hedgehog“ and after the end of the conflict could no longer be “the object of military aggression“.
