Israel announced that it will strike high-rise buildings in Gaza City

The Israeli army announced today that before launching the announced operation to capture Gaza City, in the coming days it will strike high-rise buildings in the city, which it says have been turned into "terrorist infrastructure", reported Agence France-Presse, BTA reported.

"In the coming days, the army will carry out precise and targeted strikes against terrorist infrastructure that poses a direct threat to soldiers", the statement said, specifying that high-rise buildings will be specifically targeted.

Ahead of the strikes, "multiple measures will be taken to minimize the risk of civilian casualties, including targeted warnings, the use of precision munitions, aerial surveillance and enhanced intelligence," the Israeli army added army.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelati and Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Mureihi reaffirmed their commitment to ending the Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, the Egyptian news agency MENA reported, quoted by BTA.

Meeting on the sidelines of the 164th session of the Arab League Council, the two expressed support for international initiatives aimed at achieving an immediate ceasefire and ensuring unhindered access for humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The two sides stressed the need for political solutions to address the crises in the region. The ministers also expressed satisfaction with the strengthening cooperation between Egypt and Qatar and noted the strong ties between Cairo and Doha.
