Miami to host G20 leaders' meeting next year

US president will not attend upcoming meeting in South Africa, will send Vice President J.D. Vance

US President Donald Trump said that Washington continues to work on security guarantees for Ukraine, which would help end the conflict with Russia, Reuters reported, quoted by BTR.

Trump also announced that his country will host the G20 leaders' meeting next year:
"I am excited to announce that the G20 conference in 2026 will be held in one of the greatest cities in our country - Miami, Florida", said the US leader.

Trump specified that he will host the G20 summit next year at one of his properties - the golf resort "Doral", where he will be happy to welcome the Chinese his counterpart Xi Jinping.

Regarding the upcoming G20 summit in South Africa, Trump specified that he would not attend and that he would send Vice President J.D. Vance to it.
In the Oval Office, the American leader also indicated that the number of dead Israeli hostages held captive by "Hamas" has probably increased, as he has changed their number several times. He also pointed out to journalists that Washington is conducting "in-depth negotiations" with the group against the backdrop of a new Israeli offensive.
