Israel has carried out strikes in the vicinity of three Syrian cities

The Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli airstrikes as a "clear violation of sovereignty and regional stability

Israel has carried out strikes in the vicinity of the city of Homs, in central Syria, in the coastal city of Latakia and in the area of the historic city of Palmyra, Syrian state media reported, quoted by Reuters and BTA.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli airstrikes as a “clear violation“ of sovereignty and regional stability and defined them as part of an ongoing series of escalations undertaken by Israel against Syrian territory.

According to “Al Ikbariya” TV, one of the strikes was directed at a Syrian military barracks in the Latakia region. The other strike targeted a training base and an ammunition depot in the Palmyra region. A the third strike was against a Syrian air defense school in the Homs region.

For years, Israel has been waging an aerial bombing campaign that has destroyed much of Syria's military infrastructure, and since the start of the Gaza war, this campaign has intensified.

Israel and Syria recently began talks, with the mediation of the United States, to de-escalate the conflict in southern Syria.
