More than 20 Ukrainian citizens were killed in a Russian airstrike on a village in the Donetsk region, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today, calling on Ukraine's allies to increase pressure on Moscow to stop the conflict, BTA reported.

"Directly on people, on ordinary citizens. Right when pensions were being paid. The world must not remain silent, the world must not stand idly by. A response is needed from the United States. A response is needed from Europe. "A response is also needed from the G-20," the Ukrainian head of state wrote on the social network "Ex", quoted by Reuters.

Ukrainian air defense neutralized 60 out of 84 Russian drones launched against the country, Ukrinform reported, referring to a post on the social network "Telegram" of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Since 10:00 p.m. last night, Russian forces have launched 84 drones "Shahed", "Gerber" and other types from the Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk regions. Over 50 of them were “Shahed“.

The air strikes were repelled by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, drones and mobile fire groups.

Preliminary data as of 08:30 this morning show that air defense systems have shot down or jammed the signal of 60 “Shahed“, “Gerber“ and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country. Strikes by 23 combat drones in 10 locations have been confirmed.
