The "Al-Qassam" Brigades, the armed wing of "Hamas", claimed responsibility for the shooting that killed six people on the outskirts of Jerusalem, News.bg reports.
Yesterday, gunmen from the towns of Qatana and Qubeiba, north of Jerusalem in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, opened fire on a bus stop on the outskirts of the city.
Because of the attack, Israel announced today that it had ordered the demolition of the homes in the hometowns of the two Palestinians. In addition, the work permits of hundreds of their villagers and relatives will be revoked.
Defense Minister Israel Katz said that he ordered sanctions against the attackers' family members and residents of the two villages.
The two gunmen were killed at the scene of the attack. Police said they had arrested an East Jerusalem resident on suspicion of "helping the terrorists reach the scene" and were continuing to search for anyone involved in the attack.
