Poland is ready to respond to any attack or provocation, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said, after the country shot down Russian drones that entered Polish airspace during a large-scale Russian attack in western Ukraine, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

“We are dealing with a large-scale provocation… We are ready to repel such provocations. The situation is serious and no one doubts that we need to prepare for different scenarios“, said Tusk.

He specified that Polish airspace had been violated by a large number of Russian drones, and those that posed an immediate threat had been shot down.

The prime minister stressed that there were no casualties and there was no reason to panic or introduce restrictions that would make life difficult for citizens. According to him, the situation was now under control.
