NATO is preparing defensive military measures in response to the incursion of Russian drones into Poland to strengthen the deterrence of the alliance's eastern flank, writes Bloomberg, quoted by Focus.
According to a source of the publication, in order to discuss personal issues, a political response will also be adopted. The first response was presented on Wednesday, when Secretary General Mark Rutte and other leaders of NATO allied countries condemned the "unreasonable behavior" Russia.
The military response will be coordinated by NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Alexis Grinkevich, who is responsible for planning and conducting all military operations of the Alliance.
The source claims that NATO's command is currently assessing the situation and determining what supplies, if any, are needed. Grinkevich said: "We have a lot more to do in the future. Currently, the Alliance member states are engaged in improving weapons, which allows reducing the cost of conducting military operations. We will continue to do this together with all the Alliance countries".
He noted that NATO "will draw conclusions, we will understand what we need to improve our position and resist these limited invasions".
