For years, life in small settlements in our country has been becoming increasingly difficult and filled with daily routine difficulties - such as not being able to buy medicines. In as many as 18 municipalities in the country, there is no pharmacy, Nova TV specifies. The reasons are most often demographic and economic, and the result is clear - anyone with a pharmaceutical business logically finds a place for their pharmacy where there are more residents, respectively customers.
The residents of Nevestino have been in such a situation for 5 years, as they have to travel about 15 kilometers to Kyustendil to buy medicines. Soon, however, this will change and there will be a pharmacy. Until now, the village relied on the fact that everyone in the village knows everyone. So often, a person is sent to the city to buy medicines for those without transportation. It also happens that medicines are sought from neighbors.
“We finally reached an agreement with Mr. Litov from Blagoevgrad. We offered him a premises that meets the requirements, now a small renovation is being done in the pharmacy and we expect it to start working within a month”, explained Yordan Glogov, deputy mayor of Nevestino.
The pharmacy will be located right next to the Emergency Center and the office of the only general practitioner in Nevestino.
