The global automotive sector is sending off 2025 with a tangible dose of optimism, managing to cross the 90 million sales mark – an achievement that until recently seemed difficult to achieve against the backdrop of economic turmoil. According to the latest analyses by experts from GlobalData, the market has recorded solid growth of nearly 4%, reaching a final figure of 91,935,010 vehicles delivered. This result not only exceeds last year's indicators, but also finally confirms the recovery of the industry from post-pandemic deficits.

China, unsurprisingly, continues to be the unshakable locomotive of the global automotive industry. Nearly 27 million cars were sold in China, marking a growth of 5.6% compared to preliminary targets. At the same time, the US managed to hold on to second place with just over 16.3 million transactions, which is a breath of fresh air for American dealers. However, Europe is demonstrating a rather cautious behavior. While the western markets of the Old Continent are moving with a barely noticeable growth of 0.3%, the eastern part of the region is showing a slightly more dynamic pace, including the Bulgarian market.

The real sensation last year came from South America, where the market literally "erupted" with an almost 9% jump in sales. This unexpected boom has turned the region into one of the most attractive for global players looking for new niches outside of traditional centers. The other key markets such as Japan, Canada and South Korea are also ending the year "in the green", maintaining stable growth rates between 3 and 3.5%. It is clear that despite geopolitical tensions and the transition to new technologies, the global hunger for personal mobility remains stronger than ever.
