Tesla Model Y has become the new leader in the global sales ranking for 2023, overtaking the Toyota Corolla, which held this leadership position for 20 years. This became clear from the published rating of Focus2move.
Tesla Model Y with 1.15 million units sold (+50.8%) overtook the Toyota Corolla, which sold 1.13 million cars (-1.1%). The analytical agency notes that the Tesla Model Y is an electric car, which shows the growing popularity of green transportation.
And here are the other leaders in the ranking:
3rd place: Toyota RAV4 (SUV) - 934,910 sales (+5.9%)
4th place: Ford F-Series (pickup) - 901,569 sales (+13.4%)
5th place: Honda CR-V - 718,422 units. (+18%)
Chevrolet Silverado, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Tucson, Toyota Hilux and Ram also enter the TOP-10.
