Skoda abandons Octavia and Kodiaq - 1

Skoda is preparing for the electric revolution. Gradually, all models with gasoline and diesel engines will be removed from the range of the Czech brand and replaced by electric cars. This is reported by the site L'Argus .

According to the publication, in 2033 Skoda will completely stop the production of passenger cars with internal combustion engines for Europe. And not only that, until then the Czechs will not introduce new gasoline or diesel models, but only update the existing ones.

According to L'Argus, the Skoda Kodiaq and Superb are the brand's last all-new European models with internal combustion engines. The recently presented electric crossover Skoda Epiq will be released on the market at the end of 2025.

It is interesting that another electric model will appear before that - the 4.4-meter crossover Elroq, which will become an alternative to the Karoq. This Skoda will be presented in October this year.

In addition, the Skoda Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe electric cars will be updated. And for 2026, the debut of a seven-seater electric crossover is planned - the production version of the Vision 7S concept.

In 2027, Skoda Octavia, Kodiaq and Superb will be updated to meet Euro-7 economy standards. At the same time, the Skoda Fabia, Karoq and Kamiq will be discontinued. A year later, the 4.6-meter station wagon will appear, which will become an electric analogue of the Octavia.

Facelifts of the Skoda Octavia, Kodiaq and Superb are currently not planned. After two years, they will be withdrawn from production. Over time, they will be replaced by new electric cars.
