New Duster in 2024 and Bigster in 2025 - looks like Dacia's schedule is busy. But this rise will continue, because in 2026 two new models with serious ambitions will arrive!
Exploiting segments where others are not present is what Dacia has been doing best for twenty years, since the Logan appeared in 2004. Without abandoning the recently imposed sex appeal in its models, as well as all the most necessary security systems, thanks to Renault and all its industrial and commercial power, Dacia will produce more interesting models.
As a response to the recently announced ambitious Citroën - the new C3, which costs €14,990 – the Romanian manufacturer can take a new step, and very soon explore an area abandoned by competitors: small sedans and compact station wagons!
In 2026, the Dacia C-Neo project, illustrated here, will allow the Romanian brand of the Renault group to reconnect with family sedans and station wagons. As you read these lines, it is already quite clear that Dacia is indeed preparing a compact sedan and station wagon for 2026.
On the one hand, in this segment “C“, there are already Jogger and Bigster – stretched Duster, which will appear in 2025. But the latter will have the task of becoming the flagship of the brand, and the future compact sedan, which today bears the name C-Neo, will once again have a calling to serve the people.
And while sedans are no longer popular in France, they retain admirers elsewhere in Europe, and volumes on the Old Continent remain interesting. The Skoda Octavia knows this, still accounting for almost a quarter of the brand's sales worldwide. But that's not all. On the same basis, a sexy and at the same time practical station wagon will appear.
Positioned on the edge of compact sedans and family wagons, this car will complement the Dacia Duster and Bigster. The rear of the Dacia C-Neo can be characterized by a black lacquered strip similar to the one that just appeared on the facelifted Spring.
Now that the Renault Mégane Estate and other cars like the Ford Focus SW for example are gone, there is room for an affordable 5-seater station wagon. Since the Peugeot 308 SW and Skoda Octavia Combi, with a price of almost €30,000 minimum, are not aimed at all budgets, the breakthrough for Dacia is highly likely.
Based on the new Duster, which has a more than promising performance, the upcoming C-Neo, which will undoubtedly have a different name when it arrives in production form, will cater for interior comfort and practicality.
By adding the always up-to-date offers made up of petrol and LPG or plug-in hybrid, as well as the latest driving aids imposed by the new GSR II standards from July 7, Dacia opens up all the chances for a new commercial success.
The finer points of these two models remain to be refined, but judging by the direction taken by Dacia's design teams recently, there's every chance that the compact sedan and the “allroad“ will be wanted!
