According to the World Organization of Automobile Manufacturers (OISA), in the first quarter of 2024, the world production of motor vehicles amounted to about 21.8 million units.
This result is almost no different from the indicator for the first quarter of the previous 2023. Passenger cars have the largest share of this number, of which 15.4 million units were produced. Light trucks produced were 5.3 million units, large trucks - 991 thousand units, buses - 88.6 thousand units. (+40%).
The largest car producer in the world remains China, where over 6.6 million vehicles (+6%) were produced in three months. The second place is taken by the USA with a result of 2.8 million vehicles (+6%). The third result is for Japan - 1.9 million units. (-14%).
In the top five are also: India - 1.6 million units. (+8%) and Germany - just over 1 million motor vehicles. (-10%). It is noteworthy that while the Chinese and American companies are in the plus, the Yaron car manufacturers and the European ones are in the minus
