Despite claims that electric cars are losing popularity, this segment of the market continues to develop actively. At least to date. An example is the fact that even Ferrari is working on the creation of its first electric car, which should be released on the market in 2026.
Tesla, one of the leaders in the electric car segment, continues to attract attention with its products. But they are already morally outdated, especially the S and X. Enthusiasts are looking forward to updates to the Model 3 (codenamed Highland) and Model Y (codenamed Juniper), although official confirmation of the release of these models is not expected until 2025 -a.
The company is currently focusing on producing as many Cybertruck electric pickups as possible. According to May figures, deliveries have already surpassed sales of the Ford F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T combined. As a result, the flagship models Model S and Model X are temporarily or permanently on the back burner.
Meanwhile in the world of digital content, independent designers are not forgetting about the Model X. A famous digital designer named Theottle decided to show what the second generation Model X could look like for the 2025 or 2026 model years.
In his latest video, Theottle starts with the Bentley Bentayga as a starting point as he wants to create a true crossover. The designer thinks the current Model X looks more like a minivan due to its shape and low ground clearance.
However, this time it uses the Bentley Bentayga not only to define the dimensions, but also to create a higher ground clearance, and also incorporates the latest design elements introduced in the updated Model 3.
Theottle retains the famous gull-wing doors and increases ground clearance by adding elements of a crossover, its version of the second generation Model X looks more like a restyling than a completely new model.
This is mainly due to the fact that the headlights and taillights are borrowed from the Model 3, which makes the appearance less original. In order for the Model X to become a true flagship model, it needs quite a few more unique styling elements. See also the new Tesla Model X through the eyes of the designer.
