Rumors about the next generation Mitsubishi Pajero continue to spread, prompting independent designers to create renderings of its possible appearance. Enoch Gonzales, known for his renderings of the Nissan GT-R and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, has presented his vision for his next generation Pajero.
Its design combines elements of the third generation Pajero with modern characteristics of the Mitsubishi model line. The image shows a muscular car with sharp lines, a new grille, a large logo and projection headlights with vertical LED daytime running lights.
The optics of the new Pajero mimic the upper part of the letter "X", a trademark of Mitsubishi. Other features include hidden door handles, T-shaped taillights and a compact spare tire box.
According to the Japanese specialized media, Mitsubishi plans to make the new Pajero a luxury SUV to compete with the Land Rover Defender. The car will likely be built on the platform of the new Infiniti QX80 and the upcoming Nissan Patrol, and its launch could take place in late 2026 or early 2027.
