The Pagani Utopia line has been extended – the coupe is now joined by the convertible, which is called the Roadster. In total, only 130 such supercars will be produced, costing €3.1 million each.
The car will be shown live, in front of an audience, this August at a vintage show in California. Externally, the new Pagani Utopia Roadster repeats the coupe, of course without the changes to the roof of the car.
The supercar is designed in Pagani's signature "fast" style with forward interior, round optics and four "nozzles" of the exhaust system. The base of the car is a carbon monocoque, and some parts are made of titanium.
The Pagani Utopia Roadster supercar weighs only 1,280 kg. Also the car gets "smart" Pirelli tires with sensors that provide information about the condition of the tire and allow you to change the settings of the electronic systems.
The interior of the Pagani Utopia Roadster in steampunk style impresses with attention to detail. Yes, the steering wheel is milled from a single piece of metal in 28 hours and the gearbox is an "open" type. Leather, aluminum and carbon are used in the decoration.
Like the coupe, the new Pagani Utopia Roadster convertible is powered by a 6.0-liter biturbo V-12 engine borrowed from Mercedes-AMG. In this case, it develops a power of 864 hp. and has a maximum torque of 1,100 Nm.
Acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h takes about 3 seconds, and the maximum speed is limited to 350 km/h. According to preferences, the buyer can choose between a seven-speed manual or robotic gearbox.
