Skoda cars become more economical - 1

The Czech company Skoda is negotiating with the Chinese concern SAIC about the possibility of using DMH hybrid technology in its cars. This will allow the Czechs to make their cars more environmentally friendly and, more importantly, to have a greater autonomous range.

Skoda intends to use the fourth generation of the DMH hybrid system, which was presented at the end of 2023 and has already proven itself. The system allows a car to drive in pure electric mode up to 135 km, and the total mileage with a full tank is 1,300 km.

This hybrid system is already used in models such as the Roewe D7, D5X and MG HS, and the list continues to grow. SAIC's DMH system is known to use a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated or turbocharged gasoline engine with between 111 and 150 hp

The 15FKE engine operates on the Miller cycle and has a thermal efficiency of 43%. During tests of the Roewe D5X with this setup, the car traveled 1,621 km with an average fuel consumption of 3.8 liters per 100 km. The figures for future "damages" they will hardly be like that, but they will also be impressive.
