After we already informed you (back in early April, this year) that the Chinese from Geely start selling their cars in Bulgaria, now it has become clear that the other Chinese giant BYD, which started a targeted invasion of Europe, will sell its cars in our country as well. The official representative for the Balkans is now the Greek Sfakianakis Group, which is the exclusive importer of Suzuki products for Bulgaria, through the company Mirkat Ltd.

But it makes the most sense for it to be Mirkat. The importer of Suzuki in Bulgaria, however, does not comment on the subject for now. It is also possible that one of the other car dealers in Bulgaria represents the Sfakianakis Group and respectively the Chinese brand BYD, and there are also speculations that this could be the importer of Mercedes in Bulgaria - "Silver Star".
It is a well-known fact that Mercedes and BYD cooperate, even having a common brand called Denza.
As for BYD cars, they continue to break records worldwide. After a record August, BYD's YTD sales have surpassed 1 million electrified vehicles. By selling another 145,627 electric cars last month, BYD has already reached 1 million electric car sales in 2024 worldwide.
Plug-in hybrids saw the biggest increase with 222,384 vehicles sold, up 73% from August 2023. This August marks the sixth consecutive month of record sales for BYD's PHEV hybrid vehicles. It is on them that the brand will bet in Bulgaria.
The first models with which BYD will "feel" the home market will be Dolphin, Atto 3 and Seal. In neighboring Greece, the cheapest offer is for the Dolphin model, the base price of which starts at 26,380 euros.
