Cars that are a pile of sheet metal sell for incredible money - 1

Destroyed rare Ferrari and Porsche cars will be auctioned by RM Sotheby's for tens of thousands of dollars. Some models reportedly have only scrap parts or are a pile of scrap metal.

These cars, or rather their remains, have been collected for years by the famous American collector Rudy Klein. as we already told you, his family recently put up for sale a hangar that houses a collection of rare classic sports cars.

But among the valuable finds there are also many cars that are in a tragic state. Despite their tragic condition, RM Sotheby's estimate for these remains reaches tens of thousands of dollars. The lowest price is for a 1965 Porsche 911 - from $3,000 to $6,000.

In addition to this 911, there is also a 1961 Porsche 356 B 1600 Cabriolet, which is estimated at between $5,000 and $10,000. Its fenders have countless dents and one door is missing completely. This is all that is clear from the photo of the car.

Extremely rare 1969 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 by Pininfarina has its original stamping and chassis label, but is missing “quite a few body panels”.

Actually, this phrase is a funny way to describe the car, which is almost completely missing the rear end, and which is planned to sell for $25,000 - $35,000. At the same time, the car's engine is sold separately. It is expected to fetch between $10,000 and $20,000.

The strangest example, however, is Pininfarina's 1966 Ferrari 275 GTS, which is missing the entire front end, passenger side, wheels and transmission. However, RM Sotheby's expects this pile of sheet metal to fetch them $30,000 to $40,000.

In addition, two Ferrari 330 GTCs are for sale. One of them does not have a front end, but has an estimated price of $40,000, while the other has a front end, so it could sell for $75,000.
