Volkswagen's range will soon be supplemented with a new stylish crossover based on the Polo. Until recently, the new development was known by the internal code name Ao, but the company finally revealed the official name of the new model - Tera.
The crossover will take a place in the Volkswagen line below the T-Cross and will be made in the same style as the new Tiguan, but its dimensions will be much more modest. It will reach less than 4 meters in length with a wheelbase of around 2,500 mm.
It is known that the Volkswagen Tera will be built on the MQB A0 platform, which also underpins the Polo and T-Cross. According to insiders, the innovation will be powered by a one-liter turbo three-cylinder engine with a capacity of 116 horsepower.
This small engine will work in conjunction with a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox. In 2025, the new product will first enter the Brazilian market, and in 2026 it will be available in Europe. The price has not yet been announced.
