Bulgaria has the largest growth in sales of new cars of all European markets - 1

The world car market recorded growth for the first time since May. According to the results of October 2024, 7,932,657 cars and light trucks were sold worldwide. This is 5.7 percent more compared to the same month of 2023.

Previously, sales growth was reported more than five months ago - in May, and from June to September the demand for cars decreases significantly, analysts note.

The largest car market in the world remains China, where 2,484,474 new cars were sold in the second month of autumn. Compared to October 2023, the growth is 5.1 percent. In second place is the USA with 1,343,919 cars sold and a more tangible growth in demand - by 11.5 percent.

1,078,227 cars were sold in Western European countries. The market remains at the same level as a year ago, contracting only 0.1%. And in Eastern Europe, however, a jump was registered: sales jumped by 18 percent to 425,805 units. The interesting thing here is that Bulgaria continues to have the largest growth of all European markets, but it slows down compared to the summer.

Similar growth, by 18 percent, was also noted in the countries of South America, where 290,853 cars were sold in October. In Japan, 398,769 units were sold (+0.7%), in Canada - 159,000 (+15.1%), and in South Korea - 143,272 units (3.2%).
