Volkswagen's Chinese branch will save the concern: it launches 19 new models in 20 months - 1

Volkswagen has found itself in a difficult financial situation, but the company is actively looking for ways to overcome the crisis. To cope with the situation, it is relying on the renewal of the model range and already has specific plans in this direction. The FAW-Volkswagen joint venture announced that it will introduce 19 new products in the next 20 months, mainly new car models.

The upcoming premieres promise to be large-scale. The debut of the new Tayron L, one of the company's most popular crossovers on the market, is expected in March. In the third quarter of this year, the updated Sagitar L sedan will go on sale, maintaining its reputation as a reliable mid-range car.

The presentation of the new Audi A5 and five more models of the Audi brand is also expected during this period. The Jetta VS8, a new crossover aimed at a youth audience, as well as five other new products under the Jetta brand, have been added to this series.

In 2026, FAW-Volkswagen intends to focus on the production of hybrid cars, in particular plug-in hybrids. However, despite the global trend towards electrification, the company does not plan to completely abandon cars with traditional internal combustion engines. This decision is aimed at maintaining a competitive position in various markets where demand for ICE remains high.

In addition, FAW-Volkswagen plans to expand the geography of its presence. Among the new target markets are countries in the Middle East, Africa and South America. This decision is part of a long-term strategy to diversify sources of income and find new growth opportunities in regions that demonstrate positive dynamics in the automotive market.

One of the company's latest releases was the luxury Volkswagen Magotan, which emphasizes the desire for premium models. Magotan is distinguished by high-quality materials, modern technologies and rich equipment, which makes it a worthy competitor in the business class segment.

Overall, these plans signal Volkswagen's intention to adapt to challenges by maintaining a balance between electrification and traditional technologies, as well as expanding its presence in international markets.
