In the British county of Nottinghamshire, police have discovered a cache of stolen Land Rovers hidden in the woods. The results of the special operation showed that during the year the criminals had been acting according to a well-established scheme, choosing exactly this brand for theft. Local law enforcement agencies are warning owners of expensive off-road vehicles to increase safety measures.
According to the police, from February to October, about 40 cases of Land Rover thefts were registered in the region. To search for stolen cars, law enforcement officers use various methods: foot patrols in the city, surveillance using drones, and also actively interact with the local population through social networks.
As a result of a large-scale search operation, more than half of the stolen SUVs were found - 22 cars that were carefully camouflaged in forest areas. Although the level of thefts has decreased significantly, police advise Land Rover owners to remain vigilant and not leave their cars without proper protection.
