The assembly of the new Sollers ST9 all-wheel drive pickup truck, which is a renamed copy of the Chinese JAC T9, will begin at UAZ in the third quarter of 2025.
This became known during the visit of the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov to the Ulyanovsk Region.
A source, referring to the department's website, confirms that UAZ is currently undergoing modernization for the production of the ST9: installation of a new welding line and construction of a logistics zone.
The installation of a new pressing line and preparations for the launch of production of passive safety systems are also underway. As is known, UAZ carries out all these activities through loan financing under the programs of the Industrial Development Fund.
Based on the new Sollers ST9 pickup truck, which will be produced at UAZ, a full-fledged 7-seater SUV has been designed, and the start of production is planned for the end of 2025.
