Land Rover has officially introduced the new version of its most powerful SUV - Defender Octa Black. The model is a logical continuation of the Defender Octa, which debuted exactly a year ago, and is distinguished by an all-dark design.
Like the base version, the new modification is equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 engine with two turbochargers, producing 635 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just four seconds, and the maximum speed is limited to 250 km/h.
Unique black exterior
The Defender Octa Black features a radically dark finish that fully lives up to its name. A rich Narvik black finish has been used, which is the darkest in the Land Rover range. A matte protective film is also available for additional protection.
In total, the new variant features 30 exterior design elements in glossy or satin black. These include a black Land Rover nameplate with a darkened silver graphic, a darkened grille, and black body inserts.
Wheels and interior accents
Customers can choose between 20- and 22-inch forged wheels in gloss black, which are complemented by black brake calipers and center caps with the Defender logo.
The Defender Octa Black interior also features an all-black design. The new seats are upholstered in Ebony Semi-Aniline leather with contrasting inserts and perforations in Kvadrat fabric. The front panel is made of metal with a satin powder coating, and a chopped carbon fiber decor is available as an option.
Improvements and personalization
The new Defender Octa Black has received all the improvements that debuted in the regular Defender Octa in May. These include an updated multimedia system with a larger screen, new body colors and expanded personalization options.
