Frankfurt has become a meeting place between Bulgarian business and our compatriots in Germany. Over 30 Bulgarian employers from different economic sectors presented development opportunities at the “Choose Bulgaria“ forum. The event is part of the large-scale campaign of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy to attract Bulgarians from abroad and their realization in our country, Nova TV specifies.
People of different ages and in different life situations were interested in returning to Bulgaria. The majority of our compatriots in Germany were interested in possible career development not only in Sofia, but also in smaller settlements in our country. During the day, they met with leading employers in our country, who presented over 100 vacant positions.
Even before the official opening of the forum, some of the visitors were already waiting in front of the event hall. For some of them, it was emotional, because they met strangers, but in the same situation as them, namely considering returning to their homeland. For Dalina Spasova, after the event today, the one-way ticket to Bulgaria is one idea closer.
"So far, what was stopping me was that I didn't know if I would find a job. After all, we have been separated from Bulgaria for so many years. But now somehow this gave me courage and I can leave tomorrow," she shares.
Dalina has been living in Germany for eight years, she is a veterinarian. She hopes that the beginning of summer will be the beginning of her new life in Sofia, where she can bring the experience she has gathered abroad.
Just a row behind is Iliyana Stoykova - Kostova, who is also determined to return to Bulgaria, she is a teacher. She applied under the measure “Choose Bulgaria“ and was approved. At this stage, the planned destination is Lukovit.
"I have a flat there and this is my main idea that at least this problem will be resolved. I am also interested in a larger city," she shares.
Iliyana is far from the only one who has applied under the program “Choose Bulgaria“, which started in September.
"The interest is exactly what we expected it to be - huge. We have already submitted nearly 3,000 applications from candidates who have a clear intention to settle in Bulgaria and find work, to move their families, to look for kindergartens for their children", explained Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy Natalia Efremova.
Among the partners is the Chamber of Builders in Bulgaria. They presented their platform “Work in Bulgaria“, whose goal is to facilitate the connection between business and potential employees. In a week, the registered entries are over 1,000.
"This is one of the main tasks that we have set ourselves. Let's return everyone to their birthplace and find the realization of their future wishes and dreams", said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, Eng. Iliyan Terziev.
The Frankfurt forum is just the beginning of a series of events aimed at reaching those who have gone home, like Dalina and Iliyana, for whom returning to Bulgaria is only a matter of time.
